Protecting the Pension Promise

The KW Pension Plan is fully funded, with $1.21 in assets for every $1 of pension benefits promised to members.

Since 2020 up to March 31, 2025, the Hospital contributed $1.26 for every $1.00 of member contributions. Following the Plan's soft freeze on March 31, 2025, member contributions ceased. However, the Hospital continues to contribute for eligible disabled members accruing benefits under the Plan's disability provisions.

In 2025, the Hospital contributed approximately $11.2 million, including a one-time $6.7 million special contribution, helping support the ongoing strength of the Plan.
